Grade 1 Scrambling in the Mountains
Do you want to do more than just walk? Scrambling lies somewhere between rock climbing and mountain walking. Routes range from a few short obstacles to overcoming long exposed ridges or buttresses. This makes for varied and interesting days, putting you on terrain you never thought possible.
This course will provide you with skills to experience grade 1 scrambles. Generally these don’t require a rope but put you into great positions and allow you to access new mountaineering areas. We will teach you the movement skills to competently ascend grade 1 scrambling ground while showing you how to safeguard steep ground.
There are many classic scrambles in North Wales such as the North Ridge of Tryfan where you can choose your difficulty to more committing grade 1 sections like the well known Crib Goch in the Snowdon Range.
