There are all types of accommodation on offer in Snowdonia,
depending on your budget, in varying locations.
For the various courses on offer Capel Curig
is recommended as a base, being centraly located allowing
easy access to the valleys of Ogwen and Llanberis where many
of the walking, climbing and kayaking venues are. It is a
small hamlet with a few shops providing general groceries.
There are also two pubs that serve good food, Bryn-Tyrch and
Tyn-y-Coed, and an outdoor shop. The tourist town of Betws-y-Coed
is 5 minutes drive away.
If you wish to stay in a slightly larger town then Llanberis,
has a small high street and is located next to the lake Llyn
Padarn. From the town there are views of Snowdon.
